Special Guest-Steve Babik

Steve Babik enters his 18th year at UF, and is the Gator Radio Network
Coordinator.     His main responsibilities include the coordination of
UF's radio networks covering football, basketball, baseball, volleyball,
softball and soccer. Babik also has on-air radio duties with football
(sideline reporter, pre/post game host), women's basketball
(play-by-play), baseball (play-by-play/color), and television with
football (sideline reporter), volleyball (analyst), women's basketball
(host coaches show) and is a feature reporter for both the football and
men's basketball highlight shows.  

A graduate of Penn State University in 1982, Babik earned his bachelor
of science degree in speech communication/broadcast-radio-television.
Previous to his duties at the UAA, Babik was the assistant sports
information director at Western Michigan University from May 1983-August
1986.  He began his SID career at Florida as an intern in 1982.

Babik is a native of Struthers, Ohio. He is married to the former Betty
L. Erbach of Milwaukee and the couple has two children, Jeffrey (16) and
Kristin (12).
