On May 19th 2007 we hosted International Gator Day for Volusia County. 
A day when all Great Gators get together to do something for their community.  The Gator Club®
of Volusia County was partnered up with Halifax Habitat for Humanity
on this day.  The work day began at 8a.m. and ended at 11:00 am.
A true Gator tailgate was hosted by Rob & Suzan Horner...chicken, hotdogs, coleslaw,
potato salad, chips, water and of course "Gator Aid"....PLUS,
everyone got a Club Tee Shirt and an International Gator Day Tee Shirt
from the Alumni Association!!!!!

We did not need to bring anything with us to the job site.  We just wore old comfortable
clothing, and closed toe shoes.  Construction experience was definitely not required.

We did some work for three deserving family's in the Daytona area
The two sites that we worked at were:
#957 Redwood St.
 Daytona Beach
Roof sheeting & dry-in (8-10 volunteers needed)

#916 Redwood St.
Daytona Beach
Strip form boards & move blocks (10-12 volunteers needed)

This year we had over 40 Volunteers from
our club, and we hope next year we will see even
more of our Gator's support Habitat.
