Mick Hubert

"The Voice of the Florida Gators"

With an exciting and enthusiastic play by play style, Mick Hubert is in his 19th season as the Voice of the Florida Gators.
His trademark call, "Oh My" is synonymous to listeners who know something good has just happened.

His play by play broadcasts have included football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer and gymnastics.
He hosts the weekly call-in show Gator Hotline and the weekly coaches television shows,
Florida Football with Urban Meyer and Florida Basketball with Billy Donovan.

He has been listed among Dick Vitale's Sweet Sixteen of play by play announcers for college athletics.
He has also received two television Emmy Awards for his work. He enjoys speaking to church groups,
playing golf and relaxing at the beach.

Hubert joined the University Athletic Association and the Gator Radio Network in 1989 after serving as the
Sports Director for WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio for 10 years. He was the sports anchor on the nightly
TV newscasts as well as the Voice of the Dayton Flyers. He worked as the play by play announcer of
NCAA Tournament basketball games on ESPN from 1986-90. He began his broadcasting career at WMBD Radio
and TV in Peoria, Illinois where he worked for three years and was the play by play announcer for Bradley University.

He graduated from Illinois State University in 1976 with a degree in broadcasting and received a
Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1995. His wife, Judi, is a kindergarten teacher at Martha Manson Academy
at Oak Hall School. Both he and his wife are natives of St. Anne, Illinois.
